Offene Stellen am IPW-HSG Research/Teaching Assistant (50%) The Institute of Politcal Science (IPW) at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) seeks to fill the position of a Research/Teaching Assitant (50%) with a future Ph.D. candidate, starting immediately or by agreement. Research Focus: Research/Teaching assistants are expected to develop their own research project, broadly addressing questions on European Collective Security and Defense Strategies in the 21st century, German Foreign Policy in the context of varying conduct of rising powers, or theoretical implications of changes in the global security architecture. Area of responsibility: In addition to completing a doctoral dissertation, the successful candidate will support the research, teaching, and consulting activities of the Chair of International Relations (Prof. James W. Davis, Ph.D.). Requirements: University Degree (M.A., Diplom, Magister, or equivalent) in Political Science/International Relations or a related discipline (with a minimum grade point average of 5.0 for graduates of Swiss institutions, or 2.0 for German degrees, or the equivalent of respective third countries). General expertise in International Relations Theories and a related field of specialization (Security Studies, IO, IPE, etc.). Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills.
